Come grab a bite to eat for lunch during Food Truck Friday at our office. This week, Third Coast Steak Sandwiches will be serving up the grub. Make your own sandwich, or choose from the favorites such as the Long Horn with homemade barbecue sauce, pickles, onions, cheddar cheese and local sausage, or the Greasy Spoon with maple aioli, hash browns, bacon, a fried egg and Cheddar cheese. Complete each sandwich with steak, chicken or veggies. Don't forget Third Coast Chips! Order Grecian potato chips smothered with tzatzki, Greek pico and feta cheese, or the Old Lady kettle chips topped with tzatziki, bleu cheese, bacon, jalapeno and onions.

Each Cafe Adobe location invites families to eat breakfast and decorate cookies with Santa on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Enjoy a breakfast buffet of made-to-order omelets, migas, pastries, enchiladas and tacos, and waffles, pancakes and French toast. After breakfast, the kids can decorate Christmas cookies and sit for a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tickets for the event cost $15 for each adult and $10 for children (free admission for kids 2 and under). Reservations are required.

Don't forget to bring a toy to donate to the toy drive for the H.E.A.R.T. Program to benefit adults with developmental disabilities.

Holiday Candies & Confections Cooking Class @ River Oaks Sur la Table

Spend Saturday morning at Sur la Table making Christmas chocolates and candies during the Holiday Candies & Confections class. For two hours, your instructor will teach you how to make white chocolate, cranberry and pistachio bark, apple cider caramels, peppermint candy cane fudge and English toffee. After this hands-on class you can munch and enjoy the fruits of your labor, then take the recipes home to make on Christmas Eve or Day. The class costs $69 and is open only to those 18 and older.

Head out to Discovery Green on Saturday for the monthly Flea Market. Dozens of vendors will be on site selling their merchandise; everything from Texas souvenirs and handcrafted jewelry to snacks and desserts from Houston food trucks. If you're searching for a last-minute stocking stuffer or gift for Christmas, grab a jar of fresh salsa from Salinas Salsa Co. or a bottle of jam from Jolly Roger Gourmet Jams. Of course, you'll be hungry while you're there, so make sure to stop by one of the food trucks, such as It's A Wrap! Mobile Bistro, Porch Swing Desserts, What's Up, Cupcake? and The Golden Grill. Don't forget to buy something for the pet in your life. The Barkery sells organic, homemade treats and snacks for cats and dogs.

Anniversary Dinner @ Triniti

Triniti is celebrating its second anniversary and wants you to join. Call the restaurant to make your reservation for this six-course tasting dinner. The meal begins with duck carpaccio, sesame soba noodles and a red lentil soup with guanciale, caviar and a crème fraiche panna cotta. For the second course you will enjoy honey buttermilk biscuits with foie gras and huckleberry gravy, then move on to rabbit cassoulet with carrots, peas and mushrooms for the third course. Next, enjoy tuna with brioche croutons, beets, wasabi edamame puree, horseradish powder and pickled mustard seeds for the fourth course, followed by an intermezzo of a passion-fruit curd, Parmesan sable and mascarpone cream. The fifth course consists of wagyu eye of rib eye with bone marrow and a cauliflower croquette. The meal concludes with sorrel made of spiced hibiscus, pistachio, apricot gel and buttermilk sponge. The meal costs $200 and each course is paired with wine.
