Shop early to avoid crowds during the holidays.
If you find yourself with some last-minute Christmas shopping to take care of on Christmas Eve, you might be in luck. Many stores have expanded their hours on December 24 to ensure that you have everything you need for the perfect holiday.

If, however, you find yourself inexplicably out of cream for your mashed potatoes on Christmas Day, well, sorry! Only a few grocery stores will remain open on Christmas Day, and those that do will generally have shortened hours to allow employees to spend time with their families. (A move we applaud.)

Of course, if your Christmas dinner goes completely awry, check out our list of local restaurants open on the holiday. There's absolutely nothing wrong with letting someone else do the dishes as a Christmas gift to yourself.

All of the following information is based on store websites or telephone calls with employees at select locations.

In case you don't feel like scrolling through to find something open Christmas morning, let us help you out: Select Randalls are open. Select CVS stores are open. All Walgreens are open for a limited time. That's it.

Hmmm, do any of the Asian super markets, like Hung Dong, close on Christmas and New Years?

What's wrong with Sysco? They deliver ingredients to restaurants.

This tired Sysco thing implying that their food is subpar is kind of cliche now, especially since they bought US Foods. What percentage of local restaurants do you think use Sysco?
