Gabby's BBQ Gives You a Great Opportunity to Give Thanks Before Thanksgiving Day Arrives

Thanksgiving doesn't have to come only once a year.

What's the best way to get into the Thanksgiving spirit? Well, yes, giving thanks for life's blessings is a good start. A tastier option is to pregame for The Big Meal at Gabby's BBQ, which is offering turkey and all the trimmings as part of its menu options.

Okay, O'Leary, but what exactly do you mean by "trimmings"?

Mashed potatoes, green been casserole, sweet potato casserole, giblet gravy and cornbread dressing (though I call it stuffing).

In addition to the fact that sampling some traditional Thanksgiving foods can whet your appetite and get you really psyched for the real Turkey day, having an early Thanksgiving at Gabby's might also be a good idea for many reasons, including but not limited to:

  • This year Thanksgiving is at your brother's house and his wife is an aspiring-but-still-very-much-struggling gluten-free, raw foods, vegan chef.
  • Your mother-in-law's Thanksgiving Day behavior is characterized by an intense monomaniacal logorrhea that frankly makes you lose your appetite.
  • Grandma, God bless her heart, always overcooks the turkey.
  • Your annoying endurance athlete uncle, always in training for another ultramarathon, ravages the feast such that there's little left for you.
  • Giving thanks before the meal takes so much time (due largely to your New Age aunt's excessive gratitude for every plant species on earth, each of which she acknowledges by name) that the food is downright chilly by the time you eat it.

Need more convincing? Come talk to me. I'll be at Gabby's drowning my stuffing (oops, I mean "dressing") in gravy.

I'm choosing between a few places for Thanksgiving: Sorrel, Charivari, Fung's Kitchen
