Great craft beer and a great team ... what more can you ask for?
Here's something else to get excited about in addition to Monday night's win over the San Diego Chargers: The Daily Meal says Reliant Stadium is the third best NFL venue in the nation based on the quality of craft beers available to fans. Seven NFL stadiums were ranked according to their craft beer selections and Reliant took the third spot. We're not sure why only seven stadiums were ranked, but we'll surmise that only the cream of the crop were included.

Thanks to the concession stands set up by some great local and state breweries, the stadium garnered the bronze medal in the competition. Fans can choose from products created by Karbach Brewing Co., Shiner Bock, Southern Star Brewing Co. and Saint Arnold Brewing Co.

The No. 1 spot went to CenturyLink Field, which the Seattle Seahawks call home. Its selection of more than 30 craft beers was key to the venue's victory. The stadium also has a craft house and a new Brougham Beer Hall, which offers "just enough beer to satiate the most snobby craft-beer Seahawks fan," according to The Daily Meal, which awarded Seattle's Safeco Field the No. 1 spot in the category of best baseball stadiums for craft beer.

The No. 2 spot in the NFL category went to Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, which offers a large selection of Michigan brews, such as Bell's Brewery, New Holland Brewing Co., Founder's Brewing Co., Atwater, Liberty Ales and Short's Brewing Co. That stadium, like Seattle's, also has a beer hall created especially for lovers of the beverage.

The Texans beat the Carolina Panthers' Bank of America Stadium (No. 4) to the third spot, just as they vanquished the team in preseason last year.

So next time you are in Reliant Stadium, enjoy a nice cold one while the Texans do their thing on the field.
