Around the World in 80 Sips @ Minute Maid Park
Friday, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
501 Crawford Street

For the second year, Bottlenotes presents Around the World in 80 Sips where you will have the opportunity to sample more than 80 different wines from a variety of countries, like New Zealand, South Africa, France, Greece and many more. Each sample will only be an ounce, giving you the chance to sample a multitude of wines; appetizers and small bites will also be provided so you have some food to soak up all of that wine. Only VIP/Early Admission tickets are left; each ticket costs $125, but you will have the chance to sample wines from VIP-only bottles only available during the hour before the event at 6:30.

Harvest @ Haak Vineyard and Winery
Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
6310 Ave. T, Santa Fe

Spend the morning and afternoon at Haak Winery this Saturday during this free Harvest event and learn the ins and outs of a functioning vineyard and winery. Starting at 8:30 a.m., you can help pick grapes off of the vine, then enjoy some juice and muffins in the kitchen (a special treat for helping pick grapes bright and early). At 10:30 the kitchen will be open to the public where you can order miniature quiches, cheese and cracker trays, a variety of chicken wraps and of course wine. Bring your own glass, or use the winery's disposable glasses to enjoy wine by the glass or the bottle (this is the only part that isn't free).

Big Bad Beers @ The Hay Merchant
Saturday, 2 p.m.
1100 Westheimer

Sorry guys, this beer tasting class is only for the gals. Starting at 2 p.m., those attending the event will have the chance to sample nine beers for $40. Hay Merchant's Facebook page says the beers will progress "from approachable to more extreme examples of IPA, Stouts and Sours." While you sample a variety of beers, you will also enjoy new menu items from Hay Merchant before anyone else does.

Bastille Day Celebration @ Philippe Restaurant + Lounge
Sunday, 4-7 p.m.
1800 Post Oak Blvd.

Celebrate this French holiday at Philippe Restaurant + Lounge where they will be serving up French dishes paired with French region wines. Enjoy several canapes from chef Philippe Schmit throughout the afternoon, then head outside for champagne and a game of petanque. Just remember to wear your festive "bleu, blanc and rouge," or blue, white and red, and reserve your spot at the Bastille Day Celebration for $65 per person.
