From 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., Américas will serve a buffet brunch featuring classic dishes from Cordúa, and endless mimosas and Bloody Marys. Not only will your mother enjoy the Latin American cuisine, but she will be thrilled to receive a $25 dining certificate.

Backstreet Café will offer a Mother's Day Brunch including appetizers like crawfish risotto and fried green tomatoes topped with a crabmeat remoulade. Choose from entrees like grilled lamb chops with a lentil salad and stuffed pepper or a bistro breakfast included a grilled 4-ounce tenderloin, two poached eggs, a rosemary potato cake, spinach and a tomato hollandaise. Round out the meal perfectly with a lemon tart or chocolate cake with house made chocolate ice cream, all for $45 per person.

Head on over to benjy's for a superb three-course prix fixe brunch featuring starting course choices of smoked turkey hash with porcini hollandaise, a poached egg and forest mushrooms, and French toast with three fruit coulis. Enjoy crispy chicken with banana French toast, cantaloupe and a bourbon glaze, or roasted pork loin with cabbage and cheddar biscuits, followed by mom's chocolate cake and vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. Benjy's will also serve its regular dinner menu along with specials for Mother's Day.

Bistro Alex in CityCentre will feature its signature jazz brunch on Mother's Day, with a special three-course prix-fixe menu, $3 Bloody Mary's and mimosas and live music from local jazz musician Henry Darragh. Enjoy dishes such as strawberry salad, Cornflakes-crusted chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, grilled steak migas and strawberry shortcake from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $32 a person.
BLU Restaurant & Lounge
2248 Texas Drive, Sugar Land
BLU Restaurant & Lounge will offer a special 4-course prix fixe menu Thursday, Friday and Saturday before Mother's Day for $55. Choose from creamy potato and leek soup and lobster bisque with plum wine for the first course, followed by a lemongrass shrimp salad and a seared tuna nicoise salad for the second course. Your mother will love to be catered to a roasted Cornish hen entrée with Swiss chard and rosemary ragout, or steamed sea bass with baby bok choy. End the night on a high note with a chocolate mousse cake or apple-pecan cobbler with coconut ice cream.

Damian's Cucina Italiana will be open on Mother's Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Treat Mom to classic, homey dishes like Damian's spaghetti bolognese, shrimp Damian, lasagna or veal chops.
Etoile Cuisine et Bar

Etoile will offer a Mother's Day lunch for $50 per person. Choose from a variety of appetizers including gazpacho with shrimp and avocado, and a cold duck foie gras terrine over toasted brioche. Your mother will definitely love the wide variety of specialty entrees, like Maine lobster eggs Benedict with a citrus hollandaise sauce, saffron seafood risotto and duck leg confit. Of course it is not a complete celebration without dessert; choose from a warm chocolate tart, crème fraiche panna cotta and a butterscotch parfait.
