This Week in Food Blogs: What Is E. Coli?

Eater Houston: It's Burger Week around the national Eater circuit, and all of the Eater city blogs have posted their favorite burgers to eat right now. In Houston, editor Eric Sandler has compiled a list of 12 must-try burgers around the city including the lunchtime burger at Nosh Bistro, which we recently called "one of the most overlooked and underappreciated burgers in town."

29-95: Speaking of burgers, Chron critic Alison Cook celebrated her weekly Burger Friday with a visit to the newly rebranded Gratifi Kitchen + Bar in Montrose. There, she found that Gratifi has "turned into kind of a burger specialist over the years, with a slate of eight versions that have real personality to them," and gave the El Gaucho Angus burger an A- score.

Houstonia: California-based chef Bradley Ogden gives an interview to Amber Ambrose in advance of opening three restaurants in Houston and explains why he chose our city as his next market to tackle. "Houston has an incredible growing food scene, probably the most vibrant in the country," Ogden tells Ambrose. "Houston fits our attitude about dining out."

Chili Bob's Houston Eats: Although this particular entry is a couple of months old, Bruce's blog has been dormant for a bit -- and Maine-ly Sandwiches is a current obsession around here. Bob writes of the Greenspoint-area shop that specializes in lobster rolls that its New England-style sandwiches are "better than any I had in Maine."

You may want to correct the title. It's E. coli - the second word is not capitalized. This is Linnean convention, and is pretty consistent in scientific literature.

The Nosh burger is amazing, I agree with you and the Grizz. And Gratifi is up there too (if only they hadn't chosen such a bad bad name)
