Still haven't made plans for the weekend? It's not too late. It's never too late. Carpe diem and whatever else Robin Williams yelled at his English class in that movie where they all stood on their desks as the whitest act of defiance you've ever seen on-screen.

Yaki Snack Attack at Grand Prize Bar
Friday, 7 to 11 p.m.
1010 Banks

Tonight is the last night to catch Yaki Snack Attack in its most recent pop-up run at Grand Prize Bar. The talented young Austin King has recruited fellow cook Willet Feng to create an Asian fusion menu unlike any other. Instead of Southern-fried dim sum, this time King is making dishes such as frog leg karaage and unagi ice cream. Plus, Feng will be making classic Malaysian nasi lemak -- and at $8, it's the most expensive dish on the short, cheap menu.

Breakfast at Revival Market
Saturday, 8 a.m.
550 Heights Boulevard

Owner Ryan Pera's sister-in-law Eniluz is Venezuelan, and a master arepa-maker. On his last visit to Venezuela, Pera persuaded her to show him exactly how it's done -- and now he's back to share her arepa recipe with the rest of us. This Saturday morning, Revival will be serving them for breakfast starting at 8 a.m., stuffed with pulled chicken, local spring onions, chiles and cheese. A fried yard egg and a field green salad will come on the side. Get there early before they're gone.

East Montrose Tour of Homes
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Various locations (listed below)

Once you're fueled up for the day, head out for a walking tour of East Montrose homes starting at 10 a.m. Homes on the tour are located within easy distance of each other at 720 Bomar, 414 Bomar, 309 Bomar, 611 Willard, 2319 Stanford, 613 W. Drew and 402 Welch. A different local restaurant will be offering samples of its fare inside each home, including Sorrel Urban Bistro, Bocados, Cuchara, Gratifi, Ambrosia and the upcoming Eleven 11. Plus, chef Soren Pederson from Sorell will be cooking live at 611 Willard. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online.

Grilled Cheese & Peach Cobbler at Liberty Kitchen and BRC
Friday and Saturday, all day
1050 Studewood and 519 Shepherd

Sister restaurants Liberty Kitchen in the Heights and BRC Gastropub in the Washington Avenue corridor will be celebrating two of their favorite food holidays today and tomorrow. April 12 is National Grilled Cheese Day, and in honor of the occasion Liberty Kitchen will offer a lobster grilled cheese with tomato sandwich while BRC will offer a pork belly, fried goat cheese, jalapeño, Cheddar and fontina grilled cheese sandwich. April 13 is National Peach Cobbler Day, and both restaurants will offer a cobbler for two served in cast-iron skillets. BRC's version will use its signature biscuit dough baked on top like a pie crust.

Bugs and Brew at The Barrel and Brew
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to midnight
12720 Southwest Freeway, Stafford

Owner Joe Harrington will be celebrating the grand opening of The Barrel and Brew, the newest craft beer bar in Stafford, with a weekend-long crawfish boil on the patio overlooking the lake at the Fountains Shopping Center. The cost is only $4.95 a pound, which you can wash down with one of Barrel and Brew's 50 different craft beers on draft. Live music and drink specials will also be on offer all weekend.

I love arepas, but I'm skeptical a non-Venezuelan can make one well. Don't forget the olives and raisins,
