Burger King Offers Delivery Service To Houston Area

How many times have you thought, "I'm in the mood for a Whopper but I don't want to drive all the way to Burger King?" Probably not that often. But in case you have -- Burger King to the rescue.

Last week, Burger King announced its installment of a Burger King delivery service that started in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and is now in parts of Houston. Washington D.C. was the first metro area to receive the delivery service, and several Houston areas are the second to join the list. Get ready for speedy Burger King delivery cars competing with the likes of Jimmy Johns and the multitude of pizza delivery vehicles.

Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco apparently have the most loyal customers, according to Burger King. Therefore, those locations received delivery service first.

The menu available for delivery is close to the menu you would find if you were to eat inside or go through the drive-thru. However, the delivery menu includes more deals offering more combination packages, like 20-piece chicken nuggets, tater tots, donut holes and even 10 cheeseburgers. If you have a birthday party for children at your house, order several combination meals of cheeseburgers and nuggets to satisfy their hungry stomachs.

Burger King's menu has recently undergone several transformations, adding healthier items such as veggie burgers, turkey burgers, salads, wraps and smoothies. Our own Christina Uticone recently taste-tested the veggie and turkey burgers, although she found both lacking. It's no surprise to see that Burger King has decided to differentiate itself from other fast food chains with delivery service.

For some reason, this seems like it will resonate best with college students, especially after
I have seen countless Jimmy Johns and Pizza Hut deliveries into the library while students
study for finals and don't want to lose their spot in the packed library.

The delivery service is available from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., and you can order online or by phone. Check the Burger King website to see if your ZIP code is a location Burger King delivers to.

Yeah, your city may have more culture, aesthetics, and public transportation, but we have this thing where someone will bring burgers to you without you having to leave the house. EAT IT, OTHER CITIES.

Only in Houston are we too fat and lazy to even go get our own fast food......

Only two places in "Houston" are on this list. One in Land of Sugar and the other in Alief.

Their site should show a map of delivery areas, not just a zip-code prompt. And yeah, I'd prefer Church's chicken.

The site lists only two locations under delivery in Houston right now :

12401 W. Airport Blvd

And here I was, ready to bust out with "Burger King delivers now - and this is how my world ends."

I've always said we're gonna end up looking like the people from Wall*E the day that BK or McD's starts a delivery service.

Which zip codes deliver?  I put in 77005, 006, 002, 007, 401, 380.  None worked.

@BP88 @FattyFatBastard Just put in a friend's address in 027.  No delivery to her house, either.  This whole delivery thing really isn't ready.  At least, not yet.
