Gatlin's BBQ, Eatsie Boys, Latin Bites and More Restaurants on Board for 2013 Menu of Menus
More of your favorite Houston restaurants are coming on board for Menu of Menus every day -- and maybe even some that will be your new favorites after you sample their grub at our grand tasting event on Tuesday, April 9.
Photo by Troy Fields Your chance to try Nigerian food -- and a whole host of other cuisines -- is at Menu of Menus.
Since we're carefully curating the selection of restaurants this year, I'm pleased to report that they run the gamut of cuisines available in Houston. Peruvian food will be on hand from Latin Bites, Argentinean from Tango & Malbec, Mexican from Tacos del Julio and Taqueria Tepatitlan.
Finger Licking Bukateria will bring in the type of Nigerian fare that's influenced the sort of Creole cuisine brought in by The Cajun Stop. (I'm pretty sure we're the only food festival to bring in Finger Licking Bukateria, in fact, which means no more excuses: It's time to try -- and fall in love with -- Nigerian food once and for all.)
We'll be showcasing local coffee roasters with brews from Southside Espresso and Boomtown Coffee. Barbecue both old-school and modern will be brought in by Gatlin's and Beaver's. Austin-based Torchy's Tacos and Houston-bred Mission Burrito will compete for your tastebuds, as will Mia Bella and Italiano's. And the list doesn't stop there.
While we're adding new restaurants every day, here's the lineup so far:
The Cajun Stop
Eatsie Boys Cafe
Finger Licking Bukateria
Frank's Americana Revival
J. Blacks Feel-Good Lounge
Jerry Built Burgers
Ohh La La Dessert
Sammy's Wild Game
Tacos De Julio
Tango & Malbec
The West End
Menu of Menus will be held on April 9 at Silver Street Station from 7 to 10 p.m. General admission tickets are currently on sale for $45 until March 31. After that date, tickets will go up to $50 and will be $60 at the door. Additionally, VIP tickets are available for $85 until March 31, after which they'll go up to $90 and will cost $100 at the door.
