I heard Bo Lee on Mintz is closing today. The guy I heard it from says they've been around for 25 years or so? Dunno.

Lai Lai Dumpling House SHOULD be closed. Ate there last night after a long absence and thought it was the pits. Asked my Chineses friends what happened, and found out that the original Taiwanese family sold it to a Chinese family and it nose-dived in quality. (You should remove it from your recommendations, until you try it again---or at least update: they do take credit cards).

Cheap Eats In Houston

A few missing for December openings that opened a few weeks ago and last week:

* Nobi Public House - the craft beer bar off-shoot in Webster/Friendswood of it's Asian restaurant counterpart in Friendswood.

* The Barrel & Brew - craft beer bar/restaurant in Stafford

*Pizza L'Vino (was tentatively named DoughVino a few months before it opened) -
pizza, craft beer, and wine restaurant in Montrose.

* Hank's Crawfish opened another location in NW Houston on 1960 last week.

* Bambu Desserts & Drinks Houston - an Asian tapioca, smoothie, and juice chain in Little Asia (New Chinatown)

Note that one of your Top 10 in Chinatown closed: Seoul House.

Also, I found a terrific new place for sashimi and sushi and oysters that just opened next to Lakewood Church: Mirichu Sushi. Super highly recommended!!

Seoul House was reported above as closed in November, but is not actually closed.
