Our No. 1 pick.
Lemonade is one of the best thirst-quenchers of the summer. Blending the tart drink with sweet fruit makes this cool and refreshing drink so much more delicious.

Balance the tartness with more sweetness for a wonderful twist on this classic. Here is my top-five list of fruits to pair with lemonade to help you celebrate this food holiday.

5. Blueberry Lemonade

I always add blueberries to my yogurt, oatmeal or cereal for a little extra natural sweetness, so pairing these with lemonade is a must for me. Try blending the blueberries with sugar, then adding them to the lemonade for a beautiful drink. Drop in a few fresh blueberries to finish off this pretty summertime beverage.

4. Raspberry Lemonade

Mash the raspberries with sugar and lemons to make a bright pink-red mixture to create the base of the lemonade. Then press the liquid through a sieve to get rid of the seeds. Not only will the drink be pretty and pink, but it will taste fresh and sweet. Because raspberries are in season, you must try this combination for a revved-up lemonade drink.

3. Blackberry Lemonade

I love how blackberries darken ordinary lemonade. The beautiful color sparkles in a glass of lemonade by turning it purple. With a few ice cubes and whole blackberries added to the glass, this drink will not only look good, but taste good, too.

2. Watermelon Lemonade

Watermelon already has a lot of liquid, so it is a wonderful addition to lemonade. Simply blend the watermelon and lemon juice in a blender, add the hot simple syrup and blend the two mixtures together for a tasty, lip-smacking drink.

1. Strawberry Lemonade

Of course I had to end with the classic combination of strawberries and lemonade. Any time I want a fruity lemonade, strawberry lemonade is my go-to combination. The natural sweetness of strawberries balances perfectly with the tangy, yet sweet, lemonade. I also love the shade of pink after adding strawberries. If you want to change up the flavors a little bit more, try adding honey instead of a simple syrup; honey and strawberries go hand-in-hand.
