Where Are We Eating? Clue: Sort of Like Saarland

Although the restaurant in question this week is French -- and a fine one at that -- the dish we enjoyed as one of its nightly specials last week was almost downright Germanic: cardamom-brined pork tenderloin served with spiced apples and a slice of pert potato pie. Just to keep things en cheque, however, we also noshed on some frites and pâte before the meal during the restaurant's highly affordable happy hour.

Good stuff at L'Olivier, and good prices too. I've heard they're serving Duchman wines on tap as well. I sling emails here and eat well about 3pm....nice option to have, good food and wine and laid back during the hours when most are closed.
