Still haven't made Halloween plans? Head to RA Sushi in Highland Village or at CityCentre, where the restaurant will be hosting its annual Boo Bash this Monday, October 31, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Boo Bites (appetizers) and Potent Potions (booze) will be on special all night, and guests are encouraged to dress to kill: The Boo Bash costume contest will present a $100 gift certificate to the best costume of the night.

You can help feed the homeless on November 4 by eating out at Jenni's Noodle House in the Heights, where Noah's Kitchen founder Amber Rodriguez and her volunteers will be waiting tables all night long. Gratuities will go directly to Noah's Kitchen, a local organization that works one-on-one with the homeless to bring them healthy food, so eat up and tip big. The one-night-only fundraiser runs from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, November 4.

All arguments about whether beer or wine pairs best with food should be permanently solved (ha!) later that week with the Grapes vs. Grains Dinner at The Tasting Room at Uptown Park, presented by the Ladies of Craft Beer, on Monday, November 7 at 6:45 p.m. The dinner will feature pairings of beer and wine for each of the five courses -- wine from TTR's sommelier and beer from The Flying Saucer's cicerone. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased online.

Later in the month, Philippe will be hosting a special wine dinner put together by sommelier Vanessa Trevino-Boyd on Tuesday, November 15. Showcasing wines from the Napa Valley, the dinner will pair Cabernets with a four-course dinner from Chef Philippe Schmit. Cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $130; call 713-439-1000 for reservations.

That same night, Stella Sola will be hosting a wine dinner of its own with chefs Bryan Caswell and Lyle Bento. But this is no ordinary dinner: 18 courses will be served, along with pairings from six different wineries. Snowden Vineyards, Lail Vineyards, Roy Estate, Scholium Project and Clos Thales, Kapcsandy Family Winery and Kopke Ports will all be in attendance pouring their wines at the dinner, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $150; call 713-880-1001 for reservations.

On the fresh produce front, remember that two new farmers' markets are opening in Houston: The new Friday market at the HCC Southwest campus kicked off today and runs through 7 p.m., while another new year-round market will debut in Sugar Land on Thursday, November 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at 2711 Town Center Boulevard North.
