Comment of the Day

Today Joanna O'Leary shared her top five movie quotes about food, and EOW Nation chimed in with more. Commenter FattyFatBastard had lots of them, and he didn't attribute:

Just one little mint, monsieur? They are wafer-thin.

Heineken? F*** that sh**! Pabst Blue Ribbon!

I will not eat oysters. I want my food dead. Not sick, not wounded: dead.

"Well let me tell you something now, Johnny. Last Thursday, I turned 95
years old. And I never exercised a day in my life. Every morning, I wake
up, and I smoke a cigarette. And then I eat five strips of bacon. And
for lunch, I eat a bacon sandwich. And for a midday snack?"
"Bacon! A whole damn plate! And I usually drink my dinner."

Keziah: No thanks, I'm a fruitarian.

Max: I didn't realize that.

William: And, ahm: what exactly is a fruitarian?

Keziah: We believe that fruits and vegetables have feeling so we think
cooking is cruel. We only eat things that have actually fallen off a
tree or bush - that are, in fact, dead already.

William: Right. Right. Interesting stuff. So, these carrots...

Keziah: Have been murdered, yes.

I'll let y'all guess to see if you can figure those out. And, though not from a movie, my favorite is: "If life gives you a lemon, make lemonade. However -- if life gives you a
pickle, you might as well give up, because pickle-ade is disgusting." - Clifton J. Grey

Well, then: Who knows which movies Fatty is quoting?

My Voice Nation Help

I know Woody Allen said the oyster quote but I can't remember if it was from a movie or just an interview.

The one with William and Keziah is Notting Hill, 1st one is Monty Python Meaning of Life, 2nd is Blue Velvet, 4th is Grumpy Old Men, I don't know #3

I'm more than happy to say which movies they are from.  I just always prefer folks guessing them.

I paid $23.88 for an i Pad 2 32-GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumiix GF 1 Camera that we got for $ 38.41 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $ 635 which only cost me $ 61.74 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it al from,
