Wine Time: Rainbow Lodge
Looking for an inexpensive happy hour alternative tonight? The Rainbow Lodge is holding its monthly "Sip and Stroll" wine event on the patio from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., featuring four wines from the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterrey, California and Chef Mark Schmidt's ever-popular wild game meatballs. A total of four stations offering bites paired with wine will be set up for you to enjoy as you wander the grounds.

The cost for all of the meandering, wining and nibbles? $29 -- not too shabby. So, roust up some friends and take advantage of the not as-of-yet totally sweltering heat. The suggested attire is casual, so lose the monkey suit if you have time. For reservations, call 713-861-6661.
