Hungry In Houston: I can't imagine having "too much" crawfish or "leftover" crawfish -- crazy talk!! -- but I'm inclined to leave some behind from my next meal after seeing this amazing recipe from Hungry In Houston for crawfish salad. Wasabi? Dijon mustard? Cayenne pepper? I'm all in.

I Love Flavor: If you like Austin's Hilah Cooking!, you'll enjoy Houston's own Jenny Kelly. Her latest cooking video was for Monday's Steak & a BJ Day, but there are several others to choose from on her new site.

29-95: Alison Cook takes her own first look at Ava Kitchen and finds that the young restaurant tries hard. Almost too hard: "Even the unclad tabletops have a glamorous zinc sheen--which an eager waiter hastened to claim had begun to acquire a patina. History has its own urgent rhythms in Houston."

Houston Food Adventures: It's been a while since Phaedra's updated her blog, so perhaps this will spur her on. Check out this entry from October on the great lunch buffet at Flor de Cuba, a treat of a Cuban restaurant in northwest Houston. It even won our Best Cuban Restaurant award last year.
