Photos: Anvil's First Annual Enthusiast Cocktail Competition
Customers from all walks of life -- from IT professionals to aerospace engineers -- competed last night in an unusual twist on a cocktail competition at Anvil Bar & Refuge. Although they were all cocktail enthusiasts, they were all also amateurs: No one with an industry background could enter.

The six contestants had five minutes to explain their drink and five minutes to make it for a panel of judges that included Grand Prize Bar owner Brad Moore, 13 Celsius owner Mike Sammons and Feast chef de cuisine Lyle Bento. The winner would walk away with a year's worth of free cocktail classes from Anvil as well as the honor of having their concoction listed on the menu for the rest of 2011.
