Gaga for Pho Ga (and GIFs)
Last year, I wrote about becoming acquainted with pho ga -- chicken pho -- at Pho Ga Dakao. I liked the place so much that, whaddya know, I went ahead and gave it a proper review. You can read all about in this week's print edition, including the free-range chickens (seen above) that the shop uses to craft its delicious bowls of chicken pho.

But if you're more of a visual person, our slideshow this week is a treat for the eyes.
Our photographer, Troy Fields, gets sent to more than 50 restaurants each year. Some are welcoming, some are wary. Some allow him to get as many shots as he wants, others won't even allow him near the kitchen, let alone inside of it.
Luckily for us, Pho Ga Dakao was one of the most welcoming restaurants yet, letting us get a sneak peek at the hard work that goes into each bowl of pho.
