All I Want For Christmas Is Food Poisoning

gingerbread-house.jpg
Christmas is over, but indulging in its confectionary delights might have left some with quite a foul aftertaste from an unwanted case of food poisoning. Whole Foods and the U.S. FDA have issued a recall for gingerbread houses produced by Rolf's Patisserie and sold at Whole Foods after November 1, 2010. The FDA reports possible links between the holiday houses to outbreaks of Staphylococcus Aureus, a common cause of food poisoning.

The pre-made gingerbread houses are wrapped in clear plastic and may have either been sold under the Whole Foods label or Rolf's Patisserie label, depending on where it was purchased. Texas is one of the states included in the recall, and the gingerbread houses can be returned to Whole Foods for a full refund.
