Monday Night: Burger Night at BRC

I love Big Red Cock - BRC Gastropub (519 Shepherd Dr.), that is. And as much as I enjoy stopping by just to find out what they've got going on in the mac n' cheese on any given day, there really is nothing like burger night at this place.

First of all, it's an amazing value. You get a huge, fresh burger patty topped with aged cheddar and thickly sliced bacon served on a divinely pillowy roll spread with homemade thousand island sauce, plus a miniature fry basket full of crispy, twice-cooked house-cut French fries. Normally the burger sells for $8.50, with an additional three bucks for fries, but on Mondays the whole thing is only $6.50! You can barely go to Jack-in-the-Box for that price. What's even better is that despite the discounted price, the quality remains uncompromised. You would be hard-pressed to find a fresher or tastier burger. And the fries are perfection, especially when paired with one of the amazing dipping sauces for only $.50 more.

The place gets understandably packed on Mondays, so it's best to avoid peak dinner times. But if you're craving a good, classic hamburger with all the trimmings at a ridiculously good price, head on over. And if you have room for the Snickers-stuffed beignets for dessert, please be a doll and report back to me. I'm desperate to try them but have yet to make it through a meal with room for dessert.
