Bartender Chat: Lindsay Heffron of Stella Solla
We've read a lot about Bryan Caswell and his new venture, Stella Sola. But, what you may not know is that in addition to the Texas-Tuscan food, Stella Sola has a sleek, modern bar with a unique cocktail menu. Mixologist Bobby Heugel of Anvil Bar & Refuge designed the eclectic menu, but it's the bartenders who bring it to life. 
The San Remo.
Six months ago, Lindsay Heffron started bartending at Stella Sola. "I'd never bartended before, but it's a lot of fun," she told us. "My favorite on our list is the Maple Leaf, since I'm a bourbon fan, but the San Remo is our signature cocktail." Stella Sola is the only restaurant that has the San Remo, which is basically adult blackberry lemonade. We'd be happy to have a couple of those by the pool this summer.
Heffron's personal signature cocktail is a mint julep, which definitely came in handy for Kentucky Derby weekend when we visited. But despite her talent for delicious cocktails, her true passion is music.
Before moving back to Houston, Heffron worked in Manhattan in the music industry. If she wasn't bartending, she would be back in the engineering and production side of music. Fortunately, she still gets to mess around in the music studios here in Houston on her days off.
