New Orleans Happy Hour Deals: Lüke Restaurant
Lüke is John Besh's new restaurant connected to the Hilton on St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. It is touted as an authentic brasserie; the seafood is kept open market-style on the bar and chosen by the customers individually. We really enjoyed the atmosphere here and thought it was an excellent example of New Orleans cuisine. 
The best part was the oysters they had on special for $3 a dozen. They came with traditional accoutrements and were very fresh and plump. Cold weather brings in sweeter oysters, as Robb Walsh recently wrote about, and these oysters were a perfect example of a great snack at an affordable price.
John Besh is known internationally as an iconic Creole chef. His restaurants abound in New Orleans -- in Harrah's casino and around town. One of them, called August, has made quite a name for itself, but for a great happy hour, Lüke is the place to go.
