Eating Our Words headed over to The Guy Expo at the George R. Brown Convention Center this past weekend, where we found -- as expected -- a plethora of manly products for sale, manly sports to play, manly women to ogle (wait, that came out wrong...) and manly foods to sample. Check out our favorite man foods from The Guy Expo below.

These juicy little gems from The Trophy Room were far better than expected, given that we're tired of the whole slider trend. We guess we'll never be tired of venison, though. The restaurant -- a hunting-themed bar and grill located in Katy -- was also serving wild boar pulled sandwiches and buffalo sliders that make us want to brave the Katy Freeway to see what this place is all about.
Big Daddy's Ass Burn Hot Sauce
While not nearly as ass-burningly hot as one would imagine, this hot sauce is still a force to be reckoned with. We first sampled this concoction at the Austin Hot Sauce Festival (from which we've only recently recovered
), where it won first place in both 2007 and 2009. You can purchase the hot sauce at your local grocery store or online

, we were excited to see our new favorite crackers at the Expo. They were being served alongside some Cin Chili
, which we weren't as impressed with (hey, we're chili snobs). We did, however, appreciate the fact that the chili is sold in single-serve packets -- it's far better than a can of Wolf Brand Chili any day of the week.
Bread & Butter Jalapenos
It's as if someone was reading our mind. If these existed prior to Saturday afternoon, we weren't aware of them, but now we're in love. Imagine the sweet taste of the bread & butter pickles you love, but with a spicy kick. Now imagine us wrestling the rest of the jar away from you. We will be eating these little jalapenos from Abilene
on everything from now on (they may even replace the dill pickle slices we like to put on top of Oreo cookies).
Novemberfest Beer Garden
November is just as good a month as October to drink beer, and we're glad the fine folks at The Guy Expo recognize that too. The beer garden offered guests the opportunity to sample five beers for $6 and vote on their favorite. And, thankfully, the beer selection wasn't limited to Miller Lite and Bud Lite. Some of our all-time favorites were on tap, like the apricot-laced Magic Hat #9 and Audacious Ale to the entire Saint Arnold's lineup.
