Much like Marcelo Kreindel and his company, Trentino Gelato, Jackie Burdisso makes authentic and delicious treats from another country for a hungry Houston crowd. Her homemade macarons come from a recipe passed down through her family -- who owned a patisserie in the South of France -- and are available in Houston at two area farmers markets as well as at Kuhl-Linscomb. Flavors vary from week to week and include such delights as blood orange, fig, gingerbread, cassis and pomegranate.
