Whether your beverage of choice is wine, coffee or beer, we've got you covered in this week's upcoming events.

The French Open takes place this weekend, and if you're looking for a spot to watch, then Coffee Groundz is the place for you. The coffee shop-cum-gelateria in Midtown is offering specials all weekend, with viewing parties starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Befitting the French theme, all wine is $1 off each glass or 30 percent off each bottle, all French press coffee is $5, and mimosas are $2. Food is discounted, too, with $1 off gelato and specials on croissants and éclairs.

If you're one of the thousands who's been eagerly awaiting Beer Wars, the new documentary that explores the battles between small, independent brewers and the mega-breweries in the United States, then you need to book next Saturday, June 13, right now. The creator and director of the film, Anat Baron, will be screening his movie and giving a Q&A session at the Alamo Drafthouse on Mason Road. During the movie, an amazing five-course dinner will be served with craft beer pairings from Dogfish Head. Tickets are $45 and should be purchased in advance.

Did you know that the second most successful wine-producing region in the U.S. is right in our own backyard? The wineries of the Texas Wine Road along Highway 290 are hosting a Vino al Pastor weekend on Saturday, June 20, featuring wine tastings along with a unique preparation of pork shoulder (vino al pastor) at each locale for no extra cost. Participating wineries include Becker Vineyards and Fredericksburg Winery. Make your weekend even sweeter with an overnight stay at a Hill Country B&B, and you've got a trip to rival Napa any day.
