Thanks Mychael
We have been to Luling a time or two.
Check out the stories and photos from Luling City Market in
my BBQ book: Legends of Texas Barbecue Cookbook
Meanwhile, have you ever had the chile relleno at El Ranchito in Seguin? It's on our Vintage Tex-Mex list in the Temples of Tex-Mex feature.
Hello Rob
My apoligies for the delayed response- sometimes my job keeps me traveling more than expected. In regards to one of Seguin's staple of Tex-Mex (El Ranchito) "Hell Yes" the chille relleno their is fantastic!!!
I will most certainly find and purchase your book. Not having read your book, I hope you enjoyed your trips to Luling's City Market as much as I have since childhood. I wish you continued success and adventures on your articles. I truly look forward to reading about your latest Texas Offbeat Treasures.

Seguin has a place called Taco Tejano that use to be an old Diary Queen, now a Mom & Pop taqueria. Amazing Tacos!!!
As much as I love the taqueria's in Seguin
have you guys visited Luling, a short drive outside of Seguin? It is home to the Luling Meat Market. Simply a MUST for BBQ lovers!!
I'm a native Texan living in NYC for the past 8 years. But anytime I'm in Texas I visit Seguin for the best tacos to be found and then Luling for the BBQ.. Please try if you can, you will not be dissapointed!!!
