Local purists might chose to celebrate this momentous holiday with dried root from Té House of Tea or a whip from The Chocolate Bar, but we're heading to the nearest corner store to get a wonderfully heavy tummy all over again. -- Keith Plocek

The best licorice in the world is available at www.licoriceinternational.com or www.ilovelicorice.com

Red licorice is just a satisfying a texture need. I love real black licorice but I also love Twizzlers and Red Vines, but as I eat them I always think about how not-tasty they are, it's truly a texture thing. As I write this, I am eating Twizzlers Fire! Peel licorice which is surprisingly hot - hotter than the very hot Hot Tamales and not bad.

Red licorice is for sissies.
