Will The Lone Ranger Be the Alejandro Jodorowsky Summer Movie We Didn't Know We Wanted But We Do?

This week a second trailer for the Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer-starring big-screen The Lone Ranger vehicle was released. A much better trailer than the last one, which reminded me of Will Smith's awful Wild Wild West. 
This is a much grittier and grimier vision than I ever thought director Gore Verbinski was capable of, the more creepy passages from his Pirates movies notwithstanding.
Here is hoping all the undead imagery isn't just trailer sizzle and the whole movie looks like some strange El Topo party financed by the Disney people.
All I want for Christmas is for this not to suck.
