TRAILER PARK: Ryan Gosling, Motorcycles, Guns and Bradley Cooper

Drive, but with motorcycles.
The trailer for Ryan Gosling's newest begins with Suicide's "Che", which nearly sold me on the picture sight unseen, because I am a Suicide geek. But The Place Beyond The Pines actually looks very, very good. Plus the synopsis is provocative.

A motorcycle stunt rider considers committing a crime in order to provide for his wife and child, an act that puts him on a collision course with a cop-turned-politician.

So you have Ryan Gosling (with a bleached blond 'do), motorcycles, crime, a family drama, scumbag Ray Liotta, and Bradley Cooper being Bradley Cooper but skinnier. I do not see this movie doing well among Drive fan-boys (like me) and female Baby Goose freaks one bit. Not one single bit.

The Place Beyond The Pines comes from director Derek Cianfrance, who previously helmed Gosling's indie tearjerker Blue Valentine. He's also working on something called Metalhead, which sounds interesting, pun intended.

Pines looks to be hitting U.S. screens on March 29. Check out the trailer below. It's grand.
