Read our full Comicpalooza adventures: Day 1 with Ron Paul, shopping on Day 2, horror on Day 3 and the entire Comicpalooza convention in slideshow form.

One of the best parts of any festival like Comicpalooza is the costumes. What we mean by that is that it's one of the best parts of the festival for casual bystanders like us. Oh, we're sure the cosplay fans have fun getting dressed each morning, but as festival n00bs, we're lucky to get treated to the creativity and hints of flesh provided by costume enthusiasts. Below, we've gathered some of the hottest cosplay of this year's convention, from Slave Leia to Poison Ivy.

As one of the women pictured above, the Wicked Witch to be precise, I'm a little put off by this assumption. While I do enjoy the challenge of cosplay I've never had an interest in dressing as a character I know nothing about. This was the second Comicpalooza I attended and the only reason I chose to go the the show in 2011 was because of my love for comic books, games, and sci-fi. Hell, I know more about Batman than most of my guy friends. So while -some- of these women might be dressing up for the sake of dressing up, it isn't fair to assume that -most- of them have no interest in the character they're dressed as or know nothing about the genre.

The weird thing is most of these women probably never read a comic book in their life. Just an excuse to dress up I guess.

There were a few Han Solos and Captain Americas that were hot!

Actually, my favorite dude costume was Silent Bob. That dude nailed it. The clothes, the attitude, everything. He even had an e-cig he was puffing on in the GRB. Maybe not everyone's definition of hot, but I thought he was hot :)

I saw a couple, there was a great Matt Smith with a cowboy hat and an awesome Conan the Barbarian.
