Troma's Lloyd Kaufman to Present Two New Movies at the Alamo Drafthouse Saturday Night

Lloyd Kaufman, the co-founder of Troma Entertainment (source of such legendary films as The Toxic Avenger and Surf Nazis Must Die), will be at the Alamo Drafthouse Mason Park this Saturday night to present two of the studio's newest films.

The first is Father's Day, based on the urban legend of the "Father's Day Killer" and described by Variety as a "gleefully tasteless quasi-grindhouse nasty." The Alamo will also be screening the movie daily throughout the following week.

The second film is Mr. Bricks: A Heavy Metal Murder Musical, which from the plot synopsis sounds like Memento meets Rocky Horror and is then assaulted by G.G. Allin.

Festivities start at 6 p.m. Kaufman will introduce each movie and stick around for a Q&A afterwards. I'm told there will also be a special announcement regarding Troma's future at the Alamo Drafthouse. So come on out and bring the kids whatever you do, don't bring the kids.
