Ethan Hawke Is This Year's Honoree at the Cinema Arts Festival
Ethan Hawke's been tapped as the recipient of the 2011 Cinema Arts Festival's Levantine Cinema Arts Award. The Texas-born director/actor/writer will appear at several events during the Festival, including a screening of his newest film, The Woman in the Fifth, a tenth-anniversary screening of his 2001 film Tape and an on-stage discussion of his career with film critic Joe Leydon. Last year's recipient of the award was Isabella Rossellini.

Other notables attending the festival are Chilean director Patricio Guzmán, who will introduce a five-day retrospective of his work, and Lebanese director Mahmoud Kaabour, who will present his moving documentary Grandma, A Thousand Times. Chinese director Zhu Wen will present his rollicking comedy Thomas Mao.
