In It to Win It: Free Night Houston's Lottery Opens Next Week

Categories: Stage
Waiting for an Audience
More than 30 Houston arts organizations will open up some 3,000 seats to theater, dance and musical performances all over the city in October, all for free.

Naturally, there's a catch.

Interested potential patrons need to enter an online lottery to win one of the prized seats. The lottery opens September 9 and closes at midnight on September 23, according to a release.

The performances begin October 1 with Guys and Dolls at TUTS and Giselle at Houston Ballet. Other participating organizations include DiverseWorks Art Space, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater and Stages Repertory Theatre.

For information and to enter the drawing, visit www.houstonartsalliance.com or www.freenighthouston.com.

Its the day after we were supposed to be notified about winning. Has anyone won tickets or even heard anything back from the arts alliance?

No, I was wondering also. If you go to their site you see that they changed the date to Sept. 29. I received 1 email from one of the theatres/play I selected, but it was just an ad to buy tickets for the play it did not say anything about me winning.
