It's the last, last, last tour of Riverdance.
In an expansion of its already announced season, Gexa Energy Broadway announced Thursday that it will be bringing two more shows to its 2011-12 season at the Hobby Center -- but you better move quickly, they will be here and gone in the proverbial blink of an eye.

The window of opportunity to hear RAIN "perform the full range of The Beatles' discography live onstage," will be for just three shows on November 18 and 19. This will include, according to the Gexa press release, "the most complex and challenging songs that The Beatles themselves recorded in the studio but never performed for an audience."

The release also notes that RAIN has been together longer than The Beatles and that the tribute band has "every song, gesture and nuance" of the Fab Four down pat. First glance at the band members makes it clear it wasn't just The Beatles' sound they were going for. The group even won a Drama Desk Award in May for Outstanding Revue.

The other add-on is Riverdance on its Farewell Tour. It'll be in town for five performances, tapping away at the Hobby February 10-12.

In the last 16 years, audiences around the world have discovered there's something incredibly compelling about dancers keeping their upper bodies relatively still and straight (unless they're holding raised hands) while their feet pound the floor in all directions in this stylized Irish dance tradition.

The Gexa season also includes Memphis, The Addams Family, Million Dollar Quartet, Come Fly Away, Wishful Drinking and Disney's The Lion King.
